Qecho content is categorised into following 3 areas: Cultures, Mother Tongue and Islam. See a detailed description below.
See example of how Qecho content can be organised and follow us on social media and watch our videos using Qecho and get an demonstration of the various content we keep developing.
Cultures
Celebrating our festivals, dressing up children in ethnic clothes, making traditional foods at home are just some examples of how people try their best to follow their cultural norms even when living away from the country of origin. We believe that teaching children their mother tongue is the key to help them understand their culture.
Qecho aims to cover cultures of all Islamic Countries. The cultural content are short stories, which can consist of sound effects, emphasizing the tradition, any folk song, traditional instrument. Furthermore, it can be a short story about known personality and any aspect which could inspire children.
Mother Tongue
As language is such an essential part of a culture, it is very agonizing to imagine that without the language, the cultural values will be lost. If our children are secluded from it, it will slacken the family bond and cause them to drift away from their root culture.
With Qecho we aim to trigger the natural learning in a child, which is to imitate and repeat after Qecho sounds – whether it being nursery rhymes or daily sentences.
It is important to work towards preserving mother tongue, which is our inherent gift; traditions, cultures, ways of thinking are all tied to it.
Often parents are hesistant of making that extra effort to teach their children mother tongue and keeping it consistent, because they have the fear that the child might become “weak” at speaking the national language and “fall behind” compared to other kids. Keep in mind, the mother tongue is the foundation of language, the more solid it is, the easier it will be to learn other languages.
Islam
The world’s 1.6 billion Muslims are united in their belief in God and the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam and are bound together by such religious practices as fasting during the holy month of Ramadan and almsgiving to assist people in need.
The more our children learn about Islam and from an early age, encourage them to follow The Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alayhi wasallam’s Sunnah, the more confident and practising Muslims they will become.
Alhamdolilah, with Qecho, as a helping tool, parents are continously providing their children with valuable content, which they themselves can adjust any time. Qecho provides all kind of content: “introduction to basics of islam”, “memorization of dua and prayer”, stories about the Prophets Alayhis Salaam and their Dua from Quran and much more.
When developing audio files for Islamic content, we pay special attention to complying with the Tajweed rules (correct pronunciation of Arabic letters) and we provide rhythmic recitation, so that it is easier to memorize. In addition, all Arabic verses are translated into English or Danish, which gives the children an understanding of what they are reciting and when it should be used in their daily life. Furthermore, we should not undermine, when you understand what you are actually reciting, it strengthen the Dua even more as it’s coming from the heart.
